Bello’s work focuses on the transformation process between culture and material conditions, on the question of how a way of understanding and interacting with the world leads to a series of actions, objects and events that eventually change the world, and how this changed world becomes a new generation of culture. In his practice, the artist uses research, documentation, reflection and speculation as tools to influence these processes and forge connections between different fields of knowledge.
As he is also interested in the relationship between work and artistic discourse, his projects are recorded and presented by means of installations consisting of photographs, videos, drawings, sculptures and texts. This results in collections of documents in which aesthetic experience and poetic construction converge to stimulate epistemological reflection. |
