In their interventions, Ariane Faller (b.1978) and Mateusz Budasz (b.1979) respond to existing spatial structures and scrutinise them, using everyday materials.

Wooden pallets, roof battens or folding trestles, which they combine with modular cardboard boxes and chipboard as well as knit fabric and photographs, thematise the nature, atmosphere and history of these spaces. The questioning of boundaries, of clear-cut classifications and definitions of painting, drawing, sculpture and objects is at the heart of the artists' creative practice.

Under the heading "Pedoni" (Pedestrians), Faller and Budasz wittily allude not only to a photograph and the colour of Italian scaffolding but also to our current major exhibition "Vollgas - Full Speed" and the movement of visitors as they contemplate the sprawling installation in their own exhibition.
